Anne joined Toowong Chiropractic in 2003, and she says, “I am happy to assist you with any health problems integrating my knowledge of the above disciplines. Acupuncture can bring permanent relief of a broad range of both chronic and acute complaints.”

Acupuncture will treat the cause as well as the symptoms. It is a holistic approach that links your body, mind and emotions. Often the first response you will notice after treatment is an improvement in sleep, digestion and energy, as well as feeling more balanced.

Qualifications:

Anne is qualified in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM Brisbane).

Experience:

With over 16 years of professional experience in treating patients in Germany, Indonesia and Australia, in both private practice and hospital environments as a Physiotherapist and Traditional Chinese Practitioner, Anne specialises in providing acupuncture treatment to help solve a range of chronic or acute physical ailments.

Disorders that can be treated with acupuncture:

  • Neurological: headaches, migraines, difficult sleeping, nervous tension, shock, noises in the ears, dizziness, Meniere’s disease
  • Cardiovascular: high or low blood pressure, fluid retention, chest pain, angina pectoris, poor circulation, cold hands and feet, muscle cramps
  • Respiratory system: asthma, acute and chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, sore throat, influenza and common cold
  • Uro-genital system: premenstrual tension; painful, heavy, irregular or absent periods; abnormal uterine bleeding or discharge; hormonal disturbances; disorders associated with menopause; prolapse of the uterus or bladder; difficulty with conception; morning sickness; cystitis; low sexual vitality; kidney disorders
  • Skin: eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, herpes, acne, hair loss and dandruff
  • Eyes: visual disorders, sciatica, lumbago, weak back, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, tenosynovitis, shoulder and neck pain
  • Sporting Injuries: sprained ankles and knees, cartilage problems, corking and tearing of muscles, torn ligaments and bruises
  • Psychological: depression, phobias, emotional disturbances, anxiety, nervousness and addictions such as smoking

 

Acupressure-Massage is a good option for children who are not too keen to take needles.

The Chinese Medicine that is recommended can be taken as pills, granules, tea or liquid.
